Contra Costa Times:

Police are searching for two men suspected of shooting a 21-year-old man multiple times in his chest early this morning at his Woodland Hills home.

The man has survived the attack and remains hospitalized.

Authorities have no motive for the shooting, but said it’s not a random attack. The wounded man knew the gunmen, said robbery Detective Jeffrey Briscoe, Los Angeles Police Department, Topanga division.

“He was confronted by some guys he had known,” said Briscoe. “They have a past.”

I sure I hope I don’t have any friends like that.

Woodland Hills Shooting Victim Expected to Recover

Looks like news outlets are generally reporting that the victim in last night’s “Great Woodland Hills Pot Robbery” is expected to recover.  Unreported is the fact that I’m sure he is going to get royally screwed on various other charges.  Rightly so.  Am I the only one that thinks the whole “growing pot in your house” and “marijuana dispensary” thing has gotten just a wee bit out of control in our area? Woodland Hills, LA, and beyond!

This is why drugs are bad, folks.  Not so much because of the drugs themselves as the degenerates who you end up having to associate with.  No judgment.

WOODLAND HILLS – A man was shot by a man who robbed him of a small amount of marijuana in a hilltop home above Woodland Hills, authorities said.

According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect stole a “small amount of marijuana” from the victim, and then shot him before fleeing, Baek said. The suspect was described only as a man in his 30s.
