A Reader Writes in About Le Bon Dropping Their Sandwiches and Salads
Donna M comments about Le Bon:
I was stunned when I went into Le Bon (Topanga & Ventura next to 76 station) Sunday to find that they are no longer able to serve their very good sandwiches and salads because of slow business. They have been there, and popular, for years. Weekend breakfast (perhaps also during the week) is still being served, and at 12:30 p.m. there were people dining. Lets get in there for a of coffee and patronize there marvelous bakery. I know, The Baker is great, but the parking and noise level at Le Bon is generally much better, and the style of much of the baked goods is different. Oh, I forgot to tell you they have bags of day old bakery items on the counter at bargain prices. Donna
I remember having a really good sandwich at The Baker once, but I haven’t dropped by Le Bon in quite a while, and not for anything substantial. If you snoop around on the Internet, you’ll find people remarking in a general drop off in quality. I suspect the place changed hands at some point and that’s the cause. If you know more please leave comments on this post.
Also, I’ll send you over to Yelp where the hate flows strong for the new ownership at Le Bon.

Bercovici Declared Ineligible for Season
LA Times writes:
Michael Bercovici, a junior quarterback who transferred in the middle of the season from Westlake Village Westlake to Woodland Hills Taft, has been declared ineligible by City Section Commissioner Barbara Fiege after determining the transfer was “athletically motivated,” according to assistant commissioner John Aguirre.
Bercovici will have to miss this season unless he wins eligibility from an appeals panel.
How much you wanna bet Bercovici packs up his toothbrush from his Taft adjacent apartment and heads back to Westlake?
