Tread Lightly In Woodland Hills, the Po Po is Out Today
In my morning drive around Woodland Hills, I noticed multiple people being pulled over by LAPD at the corner of Ventura and Topanga Canyon, as well as another on Erwin and Variel. Looks like our sleepy hollow is being targeted by the LAPD for some traffic enforcement today.

I live off of Morro/Escobido drive (intersection of Dumetz & Escobido) and there is a ‘not so lazy’ S curve on Escobido very near Dumetz. When heading out yesterday and coming to the last part of the (blind going down hill) S before the stop sign, up loomed an LAPD car PARKED in the street with roof lights flashing. Because I have lived in this location for over 30 years and have been made aware of abundant carnage on this road, I drive with caution, but not stupidly slow, & was barely able to stop so as not to rear end him. As I went around him I got the smirk/glare as if it were all a joke. It must get awfully boring to do traffic work. Donna
I’ve seen them sometimes snag people going north on Shoup right off Ventura by hiding near the Chicken Cafe parking lot exit.
I’m all for it if they succeed in getting drivers to start going slower than 50 mph on these cross streets.
