You are hardly out of line regarding the proposed location of a new Costco and the north south traffic mess it would cause. I suppose the retail climate is driving it but this too will get better, and then what? When I need “big box” service, I will hack my way to the existing one. The Catalina Yacht site makes more sense. Does this mean the existing Costco will be closed? Donna

  2. In the Daily News article the Costco there is a remark that Costco says the market can support more stores, so I’m assuming the Canoga Park store would remain open for those that want to brave the warzonesque parking lot. We may have to let Dennis Zine’s office know we think this is no bueno.

I don’t know about that specific location, but having one a few miles closer would be a benefit to me. Costco doesn’t have to be a mess…the one on Lindero Canyon certainly isn’t, nor the one out near Rialto (?). The Canoga Park warehouse–or at least its exterior–is the worst of any Costco I’ve seen.

Oh the traffic! Thats all i have to say! Victory is already bad heading south of Topanga.

Without a doubt, the ‘Catalina’ location would be a much better site. That area could use a little ‘revamping’.
The last thing the mall area needs is a warehouse store. The traffic is bad enough as it is….
    There is always Lindero Canyon….
