Veterinary Specialists of the Valley

Veterinary Specialists of the Valley

Over the past few weeks I had noticed they were converting the defunct dirbike dealership into something new.  Then, I drove by again last night and realized a brand new Veterinary Emergency hospital had opened.  Even from the outside you can tell this place is like the super high tech version of an animal emergency hospital.  At night you can see the brightly illuminated, designer interior of the place.  Sexy and sophisticated, I must say.  I never thought I’d use a phrase like that to describe the ambiance of an animal hospital, but it’s true!

I made a call to ask them a little bit of information about their services.  The 12,000 square foot facility opened its doors on October 26th and is open 24 hours a day to handle any and every possible animal emergency you may have.  When I called I was put on hold for a moment and listened to a bit of a pre-recorded list of the amazingly sophisticated machinery and equipment they have on site to assist your pet in an emergency, as well as a large and highly trained staff of Veterinarians.

In addition to their emergency services, they also handle referrals from regular veterinarians to their specialists in both orthopedic and internal medicine.

These are of course the types of services that we hope our furry loved ones never need, but it’s good to know there is a fully equipped and well staffed facility on the western side of Woodland Hills should a crisis arise!  Welcome to our community!

From their website:

We have Board Certified Specialists in Internal Medicine and Surgery, and experienced and skilled emergency veterinarians.  Our ICU is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by doctors and technicians who provide the highest quality of veterinary critical care.

Our state-of-the-art facility has the latest in veterinary diagnostic equipment including GE ProSpeed Helical Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner, GE Logiq Digital Ultrasound, Digital Radiology, Video Endoscopy, Laparscopy and complete in-house veterinary laboratory for blood testing.

The have a ton of information about their staff, services, and lots of images of their facility on their website VetSpecialistsValley.com, check it out!
