It had been about a month since I last stopped by the Curry Up Cafe, so on Black Friday after I braved a couple of retail outlets (which of course were out of stock on all of the amazing deals) I decided to pop in for lunch.

This time around I tried a different taco, the Teriyaki Beef Asada Taco ($2.49), and the Yakisoba Chow Mein w/Chicken ($7.99).  I love sampling this different dishes at this place, and both the taco and the chow mein were great.  I loved the texture of the noodles and I thought the mushrooms were particularly good.

Chris also brought out, compliments of the house, a 7 Layer Jello treat that he told me his mom has been making at home on holidays for years.  He is just now learning the technique needed to master this fun and tasty treat that he says literally ‘took all day’ to make.  Thanks Chris!

I’m a big Curry Up Cafe fan, can’t wait to go back.

Kardashians Closing Smooch in Calabasas

Kim Kardashian writes on her blog:

Last week Kourtney announced on her blog that she and mom will be closing Smooch. The store was Kourtney’s baby. She put so much time and effort into Smooch to make it what it is, and we were all so proud of her for setting her mind to it and achieving her long time dream of opening a childrens’ clothing store. But now that her son is coming along, she has to focus on being the best mother she can be to him and unfortunately the store just wouldn’t be the same without her. We’re all sad to see the store go, but I think Kourt and mom made the best choice. Now they both have more time to dote on the baby when he arrives! :)

Smooch is having a huge sale right now. The custom made furniture they sell there will also be on sale! They have the cutest beds, desks and chandeliers!

Smooch is located in the same shopping plaza on Park Granada in Calabasas as the sisters’ more successful (albeit questionably) boutique Dash.  I’m sure the unit will be available for lease soon with a crazily jacked up rent.
