After Several Months Of Closure, The Shell Station At 20900 Ventura Reopened Last Month
Way back on October 6, 2009 I made a post about the closing of the Shell station at 20900 Ventura Blvd. About a month ago, I noticed that it had reopened so I dropped in and asked the attendant why they were closed. He told me that the station changed ownership, and that’s why it was closed.
Above you’ll find a few pictures of the reopened station, which had a little bit of a light display this holiday season.

This station is one of the most expensive around the area!
Years ago, it wasn’t that bad, but then it got insanely expensive a couple of years ago or so! I guess the old owner was trying to milk everything he could from it before selling.
The shell stations on Ventura at Shoup and DeSoto are the most expensive. I fill up at the Mobil on Topanga and Victory, consistently the best price in the area including canoga park! Ten minute drive but can save you around $2 each fill up.
tle, you are very right. I always noticed that the Shell station on Ventura was at least 10 cents more a gallon than the station (now a 76) right across the street. Makes no sense whatsoever, but I think now the prices might be more in line. Will have to eyeball that next time I drive by.
