    Honor student, huh?

I feel for the parents. Losing a child is unimaginable already, but made more tragic when it was the child’s fault for not taking three seconds to buckle up. No seat belt? Really? I grew up without them but now I wouldn’t back out of my garage without one on.

I remember doing stupid things in high school. A bunch of us used to go zuma beach and I had a pick up truck and we would piled in three people in the back of the pickup bed, driving like mad through Kanan Dume. Of course, thinking back, dumb, dumb, dumb. I was an honor student then too! Tragic and just unlucky for this kid.

I knew him, he was a good kid. Do not judge him because of foolish actions. Judge the fact that so many people loved him.

  5. A Caring Person

To “Man From Tallahassee ” – You are a hateful, hurtful person. I hope you never have to feel the pain of this poor family. My son goes to the same school as Adir, although they were in different grades. Young people do foolish things. No one should ever have to pay with their life for something so innocent. Do not confuse intellect with “messing around.”

  6. Another Mother

Tallahassee Man – Think before you write hurtful things on a blog that people who knew or loved Adir might read. Sir, Remember we all think these things happen to other families, until one day it is your own and then you will understand. I feel sorry for you.

  7. Another Mother

PitBullMom, Hopefully we grown ups all know this and so did this young man. It all happened in a matter of seconds when he removed his seat belt to mess around. Teenage boys, more than girls, think they are invincible.

I was at the accident scene, and have been having nightmares about this since it happend. There was so much blood, there was panic and uncontrolable sadness at the scene and I feel bad for Adir. You and your family have been in my prayers, Adir. Even though you may have been involved in some foolish horseplay, nobody deserves to lose their life over it. Life is so precious, and it can be taken in an instant. As for the driver of the car, I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that you hit a parked car on a well lit street. As a matter of fact the City of Los Angeles had just installed new street lights that are 40% brighter than the old lights. Also, just because Adir may had put his head out the window, how does this cause the driver to hit a parked car? There are so many questions, but no amswers. We may never know…

The driver was turning around for half a second to tell Adir to sit down and put his seatbelt on. In that instant he hit the parked car.

does anybody know if charges were ever filed by the police against the driver?
