Suge Knight And Company Rob Man In Woodland Hills Monday Night?
Woodland Hills truly is becoming the nexus of the universe for rapper based crime. A new report has come out that Suge Knight and a crew of henchman robbed a man in Woodland Hills on Monday March 22, 2010.
LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles police want to talk to Suge Knight after a rapper initially accused the former Death Row Records chief of robbing him before recanting the story.
Detective Jeff Briscoe says 35-year-old Jerold Ellis, who uses the name Yukmouth, reported he was talking to Knight on Monday night in a Woodland Hills supermarket parking lot about a debt that another rapper allegedly owes Knight.
Yukmouth filed a police report saying 10 other men arrived, knocked him down and took his watch, medallion and other jewelry worth $92,000. He wasn’t badly hurt and declined medical treatment.
Briscoe says Ellis identified Knight as a suspect but later recanted. However, the stolen items haven’t been recovered and the investigation continues.
The Associated Press couldn’t immediately reach Knight for comment.

After Home Invasion Robbery, Police Discover Marijuana Growing Operation At Woodland Hills Home
Call me crazy, but if your marijuana growing business gets robbed I think you just eat the loss and don’t bother calling the police.
“Officer, they beat us up and stole our drugs!”
WOODLAND HILLS – A man was in custody today on suspicion of growing marijuana inside his Woodland Hills residence after he called police to report a home invasion robbery.
Police were also searching for two men in their 20s who broke into the home, beat the residents and took cash from them.
The robbery occurred around 9:15 p.m. Monday in the 22000 block of Mulholland Drive, said Sgt. Jeff Collada of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Station.
“We believe this all stems from the narcotics activity in the residence,” Sgt. Thomas Mason of the Topanga Station said this morning.
The resident who was robbed “was arrested after they found approximately 50 plants” in the residence, Mason said. “There was lighting, hydroponics, ventilation — the usual set-up.”
The residential neighborhood is west of the junction with Topanga Canyon Boulevard and south of the Ventura (101) Freeway.
Collada urged anyone with information about the case to call LAPD Topanga Station detectives at 818-756-4820.

Victims Pistol-Whipped In Late Night Woodland Hills Home Invasion
I believe Woodland Hills might be starting to prove unsafe for rappers and music industry types.
At least two women were injured after reportedly being pistol-whipped during a violent home invasion robbery around 2 a.m. today in an upscale neighborhood in Woodland Hills, police said.
Four women were throwing a party at the house when someone knocked on the door. When the door opened, a man armed with a handgun and two women forced their way into the house, said Monterrosa.
The invaders were described as African American people. The suspects fled the scene with an unknown amount of money and jewelry, Sgt. Pablo Monterrosa of the Topanga Station said.
A video crew at the scene reported one of the female victims managed to escape to a neighbor’s house who then called police to the scene.
The target house was said to have formerly belonged to actor John Stamos, and is now owned by a record company that was affiliated with record producer/actor Sean Puffy Combs and rapper Wale. But police would not confirm that.

Masked Gunmen Rob Rappers In Woodland Hills
MyFox11 writes:
Woodland Hills – Two gunmen wearing masks and gloves robbed some people at a townhouse north of Woodland Hills, police said today.
The home invasion robbery occurred in the 500 block of Como Circle around 10:10 p.m. Monday, said Sgt. Thomas Mason of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Station.
When police arrived, two victims were on the roof, fearing the robbers were still in the townhouse, Mason said, but police searched the home and determined they were gone.
The victims were robbed while in a rap studio in the basement of the home, Mason said.
The robbers, who were armed with handguns, took still camera equipment from a photographer who was there to take pictures, along with other items, Mason said. No injuries were reported.
I really hope that this is an isolated incident and that Woodland Hills remains safe for the members of the small rap community that calls our area their home.
